I recently took in a stray dog in bad shape. Had to consider this cost, and decided could do it. You don't think 🤔 parents should be required to do the same when deciding to have children? Responsibilities and accountability- basics.
False equivalence. Adopting a dog is always a choice, having a child isn't, and you cannot plan for 18 years of possible horrible situations that could impact that child.
It's not our *personal* responsibility, you're right. However, it is the responsibility of society and the community to ensure children grow up safe, happy, and healthy rather than being ignored or punished because of the actions of others.
It takes a village.
You can identify yourself as an independent voter, or undeclared, if you are afraid to identify yourself when calling your representatives. The people have the power. We need the REPUBLICANS to fear the undeclared voters, who, also have the power to take Republicans out of office in the midterms.
Not sure if this is true or not but I read once that one of the indicators in med bay in Star Trek (not sure which) was "medical insurance remaining" which at the time was only a joke.
