Unfortunately a whole lot of the things I like doesn't get released in the EU. And streaming services aren't really going to release their shows for purchase. See fx. this complaint from director Mike Flanagan.

I do have my personalized youtube music playlists, and i do enjoy its algorithm mainly because it ain't vibe based, but artist based, since it knows i love Childish Gambino, it will recommend me more of his content, which is nice.
The pitch of "unburdening" us by managing our digital libraries and gating access for a monthly fee just doesn't land for me.
I don't see much of an option for movies. Hence why I was ripping a Blu-ray I bought to my own server yesterday. I don't mind some stuff "going away" if I treat it like TV, but if I buy it?
