I feel like Steam should have a sale where you earn coupons for reviewing games you have X amount of hours in, to motivate this. 🤔

Or even gets points for steampoint shop or at least grow Steam profile level. Now that system sucks, because If you buy game you only get 1 exp for your profile 😅

Also talk about the games you like, on social media or otherwise! There's so many games that it's easy for people to miss something they'd love, and a lot of indie games don't have much marketing budget outside of word-of-mouth

I have a section in my newsletter for games with less than 10 reviews.
It's amazing how difficult Steam makes finding them. Reviews really do help.

I do not write very good reviews. I have a very hard time articulating what I want to say, and it basically comes out to “Very good game”. I don’t think a review like that really helps anyone. They should do like what google and I believe apple does and allow you to rate without leaving a review.

Even the small reviews like that helps, because the visibility cares about the thumbs up/down, not the content of the review itself. But yeah, it'd be convenient to not have to fill in the box.
