Would love to know what you do with this one? My dad is an electrical engineer and he absolutely depends on it. I've never had to use one in my life, so do tell.
Funny story about the ESD smock. When I worked at Intel we had a high failure rate at one woman's work station in QA. We had to politely inquire about what she wore as undergarments and suggest to her to wear garments that did not generate static.
Can you talk about how Ethernet cabling works on a rocket? Is it just regular cable, industrial Ethernet or some sort of special stuff? Iβve never dealt with Ethernet outside a datacenter/office/home
Matt, thereβs pretty much no use of βregularβ cable in (professional) space because of outgassing concerns in vacuum. Underlying electrical runs the whole gamut: 100M/1G-BaseT, T1 on twisted pair, 1->100G-BaseX over TwinAx, etc
This is cool to see some of the behind the scenes.
Are you excited for the future of the space industry? Personally, I'm super excited to see Vulcan, New Glenn, Starship, Neutron, and many other cool rockets in the future. πππ
Also Impulse space seems like such a cool company too!

A very delicate discussion.
Check out HackSpaceCon if you get the chance. Or the Aerospace Village at Defcon. Just for a taste of the dark side.
