i think if i were to take another job i’d want to do something working on mobile networks. so much of that tech & architecture must be niche & unusual—how are we perpetually able to connect to the internet while driving?? like wireless roaming but like on steroids

Been diving into RF cyber cuz drones.
5G NR has a TON of wild tech including dynamic spectrum planning between overlapping towers, but I think that's mostly at the vendor level
there are all sorts of other things to consider too once you start thinking about E911 services. having seen components of this stuff, it's boggling that any of that works!

Working with pseudowires, VPLS, and EVPNs really make you appreciate just how complex and weirdly beautiful the internet is.

Some of our tech stack makes me giddy, and some of it keeps me from sleeping.
It's a pretty sweet industry though
