we have penn american water & we really didn’t need updating, no lead pipes here, not old infra, but south park & brentwood fire departments lobbied for more water pressure, i think. i can think of many other boroughs w/old pipes/lead pipes that needed this more, but _lobbies_ 🤨

my mom is now on daily low dose prednisone & while it’s amazing how much of a difference it’s making in her quality of life, her previously non-existent temper has suddenly entered the chat & boy howdy is 8 hours a day of jackhammers emphatically _not_ helping lol

OMG that's unreasonable. I mean maybe you have super complicated pipes in your neighborhood or something, but they've been replacing all the water mains in my county for years, and they do each street in like two days of jackhammer, two days of replace, patch until full paving a few weeks later.

i just drove thru the rest of the neighborhood to go vote & saw the strips where they replaced the pipes asphalted over w/no work being done, so i think that’s the plan. we’re just only at the “peel off the asphalt phase” so it’s loud rn. Thursday is our house pipe day; hoping this is the last week!
