Black X'ers got their own shit with them, I know. I'm starting to believe some things are escapable in middle-aged demos, but we would very much like to be removed from the white gen-x narrative.

I saw Black creator a few weeks ago say we were mad at white x'ers because they betrayed us. Maybe bc I spent my formative years in the south, but I never didn't know who they were just cause they liked hip hop.

I call it the MTV GENERATION....I have a theory 40-55 yr olds who grew up on MTV brought into the bullshit of WE in this together cause MTV was for the most part diverse showing EVERYONE together. Than 9/11 followed by 08 recession and they shrunk back into only thing they had..being white🤷‍♂️

MTV wasn’t willingly diverse. I remember for a good period of time only yt videos were shown. Black artists had to fight to be showcased. I never forgot who MTV really was.
