The Trump regime is now openly, vehemently defying the two other arms of US government — the judiciary and Congress — and there is no longer any doubt about what they are doing: that is, an autocratic takeover of the country. They're not even trying to hide it any more.
I love all this talk about our democracy...what it is and how it works. It's The BIG PICTURE that will fix all the trump-made disasters with Vets, Farmers, Teachers, Special Ed kids, elderly and our international relationships. We need a working democracy back.

The problem is that the other two branches are filled with people who agree with what the Executive is doing, but have more limited power to pursue those goals. They would love to be as cruel as Trump, they just don't have the agencies to do it.
The problem being that the Legislative branch is complicit. So it's not one over the other two, it's the two overwhelming the remaining one. And fucking Mitch McTurtle's stacking of the judiciary makes that tenuous.
