Charging at home is fine, but I've always seen the motorway service station bays full. Turning a 4hr drive into a 5hr one because you're waiting 30 mins for a bay, charging for 30 and then moving again is not my idea of a relaxing journey.
The cars are still too expensive compared to non-ev too.
