Periodic reminder:
What you see on social media is an algorithm-curated echo chamber. Those who shout loudest typically get amplified the most, regardless of whether they’re right.
The real work takes place offline. If you’re getting stressed out by today, take a break, focus on what you can do.

Comments
1. Drink a glass of water, since it’s summer and hot. Hydrate.
2. Mark Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 on your calendar - that’s Election Day.
3. Check your voter registration. Register if you haven’t.
(I have a master list of SoS offices, I’ll post it once I convert it to a Google doc)
5. Plan Election Day out. Are you voting by mail? Do you need to take time off?
And can you give neighbors/coworkers/ a ride?
Remember: volunteering isn’t just canvassing or phone banking. They might need people to organize the office. They might need data entry.
Block out those hours, and then figure out which campaigns.
So, definitely adopt two House members and two Senators (eg. Sherrod and Bob Casey), but then look at your local races.
Who’s running and can you help them? Local races always need it.
OR you can go to sites like Mobilize and see what’s available in your area or a battleground state.
(And FWIW: MI, PA and WI are key to us holding the WH).
I’ve seen a lot of doom today. Right now -
But the real work absolutely takes place offline. Don’t get dragged into what we’re seeing today. Focus on what we can control.
