Absolutely, Poland has had huge military budgets in recent years.
Some people have suggested the 150k Russian troops apparently training in Belarus are preparing to attack Poland. I doubt Putin is that stupid; I suspect the Poles would annihilate them.
It would be much more cost-effective to supply Ukraine with the appropriate weapons and the right amount to defeat Russia, instead of spending hundreds of millions every year for possibly decades just to maintain peacekeepers.
No, I am proposing actually winning this war instead of continuing "escalation management" by the West by slowly dripping military aid to Ukraine. The Russian economy is in shambles, and the Russian military looks like somthing out of Mad Max so sooner than later Russia will break.
Okay. It would certainly be better to drive Russia out of Ukraine by force. And I agree about the economic aspect. But Ukrainian resolve is not indestructible, so it is a risk to expect them to win even with unlimited materiel.
