The U.K. and France have already sent their equivalent so there should be no further delay. If Merz is not being straight forward and requiring the US to approve then he should say so and be clear, if not then he needs to get stuck into the operational planning urgently
It would be faster for Ukraine to design, test and mass produce their own version than waiting for Germans to donate some weapon that crosses some imaginary red line.
