I remember replaying Front Mission 3 a few years ago and it was this exact mix. "Wow, that fake internet is DEEP!" and "oh wow yeah despite having so many mech parts there really is not much functional difference between them"

Replaying the Crash games when they hit the Vita initially was a great experience because I really hadn't seen the entire latter half of that game as a kid outside of watching other people play it.

That's Chocobo racing for me; had built it up in my head as this wild kart racer, came back to it as an adult and I was just like oh..... I hate the way this handles and there's not a lot "to it".

Pokemon Gold was one of the first game I had as a kid, from well before I could read. I absolutely loved playing it when I was older on my SP, though to this day I regret not being able to play it on the Color I had with the backlight that was just an old timer desk lamp lmao

For Goemon's Great Adventure I didn't know you could jump between robots in the Impact fights. So when an enemy had an incoming attack, my way to block it was to use the laser in perfect frame so it wouldn't hit me.

I frame perfect the final boss when I only needed to jump between robots
