Damndest thing
Windows update knocked out one of my spinning disks
Nothing worked to get it back up and running
Left it plugged in as its in a weird spot in the case for removal
Windows updated again, disk back, no issues

I have removed the system ownership of windows update's files in system32 because I noticed my computer would run progressively more like shit until it forced an update if I didn't let it update while I was in the middle of doing something.
Computer runs much better now.
