This article was very much my experience at one major beauty brand in corporate America. Once youβre perceived as a leader and a threat, youβll be targeted and marginalized. Thatβs why itβs important for us to stand with Jasmine (all Black women) with fortitude and rigor. Now and in the future.
Sadly this is often the case for many of us - just as water is wet. Thus, as you said creating safe spaces where vulnerability and authenticity can be shared without fear of judgement, belittlement, and/or harassment is a must.
I own a learning and development consultancy that builds training and training materials for commercial organizations and state and local government agencies. This is my personal profile, but I have a professional one on here as well. I always keep those things separate. π
