My usual pour is a Bourbon Manhattan. Given the current environment, Bourbon is off the table, so I've been looking for alternatives. An Old Fashioned that uses Maple Syrup? Hell yeah.

I tend to buy alcohol “specimens”, like plants for a garden, so I can always find some way of making something interesting with whatever I’ve picked up, if I am at a loss.
Different pairings of rye to vermouth … I wonder if I would notice? What would be 2 really different ones?
