Okay time for a ramble in asshole minor.
Look, I'm always happy to see people get excited by Bernie.
But no, something big is not happening because Bernie was smart enough to go to Coachella. Nor are the people of Coachella cheering for Bernie a big shift in anything.
Please.

Just feel like there's better places you could take this, like all the places the message isn't reaching
But
I first learned about Bernie during occupy. That translated into votes. Who knows what impact this will have.
Not a terrible plan. I just don't think coachella is the place to get a political point across. Most people are too messed up to think.
Just my opinion, hope im wrong
THAT was a big thing happening. That was a big change we see.
And I'm not saying don't get excited about Bernie, please do. But understand that this movement, and it will take a movement, is us, and people hitting the streets.
And we're a long way from the end.
Which I'm actually not trying to do. PLEASE do celebrate anything positive.
But no one is coming to save us, but us. Even though Bernie is a good guy.
The media around it suuuuuuucks but all they do is suck lately so no surprise
Worked out great, didn’t it?
But yeah I get what you mean
And I think that the conditions around that have changed, quite substantially.
He's doing this to tell people the way to change this shit is more protests, more rallies, more organizing, more hope, more joy and more people
He's not Link saving Zelda, he's the "sword-giving old man" handing people the tool they need to succeed eventually
Combining grassroots protests with movement from inside the opposition party is a solid one-two.
what was the measurable outcome of the protests. quantify it
Many aspects of the human experience are either unmeasurable in principle or practice.
Mass social movements are full of such characteristics.
Also, 35k people in one place at one time for a rally is a measurable outcome.
It’s bigger than just Bernie.
Watching interviews with Dems backstage at this rally, it seems like inside the party they are really taking note of these rallies and starting to come around on messaging and policy to try and co-opt this momentum
It could turn into real change in the DNC
Big whup!
