Unfortunate that they implied Colombia backed down on refusing deportation flights because of tariffs. They were appalled at the treatment of the deportees - chained, no A/C or bathrooms - and once the US agreed to address that, Colombia agreed to accept the deportation flights. Important difference

He has realized that there are things he needs from Canada like oil and NG and probably doesn’t want to tariff them. While that may be good for those sectors, we need to say that if you want those products, then no tariffs on our other products.
