Hey 😀 I really liked your thoughts on Carlas backstory. I'm much slower on that. Lack of time and lack of language knowlage... Sometimes I need to watch a clip several times and still having trouble understanding properly.

The early years were fun to watch. Seeing the character so fully formed from the start is a testiment to Alison King's skills as an actor. Carla was such a vibrant personality with a solid foundation, which has both evolved & remained solid in that foundation ever since.

I was curious about this Liam character & their relationship given how, years later, Carla was still mentioning him as a significant person in her life, & the loss of him was still felt & prevalent. Yet much of that early story was about them being apart.

However, their chemistry, banter, and attraction was indeed palpable, thus making their inability to be together truly tragic. It was a bit frustrating to watch in fact, esp when there was no real satisfaction in the end. I guess that can also explain why she never got over him.

The Tony story was frustrating on a larger scale. It was also extremely lengthy. My interest became more about Carla's relationship with Maria. They are still friends, & given Liam & Carla's relationship I was curious how Carla & Maria became friends & have remained so...

I am assuming Maria never found out that Liam was set to leave her for Carla before he died. Also assuming that their respective experiences with Tony solidified a bond between them. Rather unusual for technical rivals to become long-term friends in soaps. I like it.

The Frank/r*pe sl was an extremely upsetting story! It really hurt my heart. Everyone abandoning Carla, accusing her of lying. WTAF?! I was a Carla defender before watching that sl, but now I will defend Carla forever! #CarlaConnor #Corrie

I agree! Here's hoping Carla & Lisa are the successful love story and not a tragic one. 🙏 Carla has had enough tragedy! I haven't even finished watching her whole story & I already know this to be true.
