Truly do support the unionization of Starbucks. Please help me understand the $57k/hr comp figure for the new CEO.
I saw $75mm in stock over 3 years. Base of $1.6mm and signing bonus of $10mm. All of which is an obscene multiple of national hourly wage rate.

In the winter of 2011, I got my first job at a San Diego store by the Walmart in Clairemont Mesa, and when I asked my coworker who'd been there over 2 years how much of a raise she got, she told me that her first raise was 3 cents. I noped outta there in about 3 months time 😬

Raises that don’t even keep pace with inflation is a plague upon the American workforce, and it partly spurred the much needed reemergence of unions.

The fed, state, and local governments need to support the union effort to thwart the corporate obsession with growing shareholder value.
