Its the same for Germans living in Finland. Postal service between Posti & Post can be very slow. It can take a week or even over 10 days to send letters either direction. I was lucky I got the letter quick enough, I just don’t know if it will arrive in time for the election. Despite priority - ThreadSky

This is truly insane! My ballot didn't arrive because of a strike of bpost in Belgium. But either way, the letters were sent way too late imho.

Yes, it is barely understandable why. The Wahlamt Berlin-Charlottenburg told me that they will send letters „expectedly“ at the 10th of February - while the letters have factically be in by today. And the German embassy’s stay unused. Why can other countries offer local voting, but not Germany?

Klingt einmal mehr nach Deutschland abgehängt bei der Digitalisierung. Aber es ist auch das typisch behördendeutsche Verhalten Marke „das haben wir noch nie so gemacht, also machen wir es jetzt auch nicht.“ Seufz.
