When I was in college in Seattle a late night DJ said, if you don't like what sex workers are doing, give them a better job. That has stuck with me since 1969. I would add, please don't make them Congress People though.
Yes, many people do sex work bc of a lack of job opportunities that pay them enough to survive. But some sex workers love what they do and don’t want a different job.
I very much hope to see a sex worker become a Congressperson in my lifetime.
