Okay Bluesky, I need you to do your thing: I have 2 teenage boys (15 & 17). Neither will give me any clue what to get them for Christmas (other than "a car" which is... not happening). The older one doesn't really play computer games much these days and the younger one has pretty much everything he needs. 😭
older likes history and maps. Younger has been writing a lot of stories and enjoys musicals and weird lore lol

For younger, perhaps a copy of the book “Atlas Obscura” photos and stories of interesting/weird places around the world.

For the older, perhaps a course from https://brighttrip.com? There are courses on how cities develop via historical lenses. They also have some good videos on this for free on YouTube.

Older: encyclopedia of maps, a nice/vintage compass, perhaps some old coins that they can clean (they come in kits from like Ancient Greece?)

Younger: a tablet to write stories on (or a nice notebook and fountain pen?), a book about interesting Broadway lore/tidbits,

Ohhh those are neat ideas! I was considering a sort of "ideas notebook" for 15 to write his ideas in, but he is deeply entrenched in writing in Google docs on his phone. 😂 maybe I can convince him to do a little old school note taking.
