My problem here is multifold:
1. Most of Biden’s problems predate the debate. He was tied or slightly above popular vote (which is not enough) since december. It’s mostly inflation + Gaza/Israel.

Switching mid-way won’t change that; lots of energy would be spent and we will still be nowhere
