I scoured every interaction with Meghan in the UK to find the source of the hate. She behaved exceedingly well. Almost as if she was acutely aware that she was representing herself, women of color and America itself. I found nothing to reproach her for!

I would argue that one of the most shocking things to come out about this whole ordeal is not that the british press and british royal family are racist institutions - we knew that. It's the degree to which they coordinated with each other that is shocking.
