Excellent point. Some rural communities have even consolidated districts. Vouchers take away from their already struggling school districts.

The sad thing is some of that funding will go to home schooling, which has few or no requirements. Add to that getting rid of the Department of Education, which will remove funding that supports high-poverty districts, disabled students and Pell grants and we'll have a much more educated electorate!

If they actually dismantle the Dept of Education… it won’t matter anyway. The FAFSA and Pell grants won’t exist anymore to help lower income students. Higher education then becomes a privilege of only the wealthy white (because states rights do away with DEI for their own funding standards) 😞

Same with low income neighborhoods, not many private schools & no transportation. Same in my town of 30,000, two small private schools, that's it.
The term "school choice" is accurate because its the private schools that get to do the choosing.
It's a scam for the wealthy to get tuition breaks.
