I don't understand the vitriol about "not doing enough" or "not good enough". How do you organize people to do something? Get them together! How do you do things without money? You don't! Is this going to be only thing done? No! But it is a start.
Very much enjoyed your talk last night. I think everybody got in the spirit of "do one thing every day" . . . and had some fun with the egg raffle too. Alas, my ticket didn't win.
Thanks for speaking up about rural Dems. Really appreciate your voice highlighting the strength of Blue communities like mine living in red areas like the Appalachian Mountains of Western NC.
The relentless slagging of rural Dems actually ended a long-term friendship for me, personally. I know so many wonderful, courageous, principled people here in Iowa. They stand up for Dem values every day - and the rest of the party should *honor* them, not attack them.
You are a badass and a guiding light! I wish more rural folks knew that urban peps care about them. Everyone deserves a functional thriving society regardless of location.
I actually think that raffle is a really great idea. Sad that that's the reality we're living in, but a genius idea, that also helps the community in the process.
I just sent your post to the head of our local rural city's dems, and boe chair. I think we found our next fundraiser! We need to make it a little lighthearted, targeted and memorable.

When I left Texas, I canvassed for Andy Beshear in Kentucky.
Americans can direct their anger at Republicans and Congress. Rural Democrats are god damned patriots. 🇺🇸
