Hi, friend. How many doors did you knock in rural America? Which rural Democratic candidate did you support? How many phone calls did you make to rural folks?
Most of my neighbors don’t even have a Dem to vote for. It’s why I work so hard in rural spaces.
Sincerely,
A corn fed Democrat

It's so hard to feel bad for folks who helped inflict this pain on themselves AND ON THE REST OF US. Someone has to tell these uneducated, ignorant, corn-fed, couldn't-pass-a-citizenship-test-to-save-their-lives ignoramuses that they aren't smart enough to contribute, and to stop voting.

If I lived in suburban America, I'd knock on suburban American doors
But I live in one of the most liberal technology-reliant cities in the world, let alone the United States, and I can't travel 400 miles to knock on rural doors.
And I encourage anyone else out there who sees this as a valuable thing to do so as well.
But what I WANT is for rural Dem activists to tell us how we can support THEM, and allow them to drive the local agenda.
Not the other way around.
If I am willing to provide support for their campaign and do some work for them from where I'm at, they have a better chance of winning.
You know?
I can't carpetbag my way out there to help. It won't work. Help to empower y'all? That I can do.

ya know, they are just as proud of their place in America as we are.
America is all of us.
When we're going under there isn't time to try to save the #RedStates that are relishing their own demise.
We have to let them go & figure out how to get #Canada to accept #BlueStates as provinces.

If something doesn't apply to you, ignore it.
But whether urban ppl "knocked on rural doors" or not, YOUR NEIGHBORS STILL VOTED AGAINST THE BLACK LADY. They had a choice.
And I'm certainly not knocking Jess' huge efforts to educate her neighbors.
But I am perplexed with why it's up to everyone to hold rural MAGA hands and slowly, repeatedly, explain to them how the world works as if they're 5 years old, while they continue to stare blankly back at us.
But the way I interpret Jess' post is that she is expecting people to do that. It feels like she's saying "Don't bitch about how rural people voted unless you're spending every Saturday teaching junior high civics classes on each front porch in Fayette, MO."
Could be very enlightening for them and am easier ask than to vote blue.
