this is true. i think there's a difference between like, archie, where it was very blatantly doing its own thing, and idw which is basically trying to be The Offscreen Adventures of Game Sonic but some people are mad about how he talks sometimes

I think a lot of sonic guys would be a bit happier if the accepted a character isn’t gonna be exactly the same across 30 years even if hypothetically the same exact people are on, because people change too and what not
