I know it’s a tough time but I’m trying to make the leap and we have just been really short on funds the last few months. Wrapping up the tree project is as important as starting it. And there are next steps that we need to achieve

i don't. euro is weak these days.
Patreon is in general the worse for fees.
Paypal doesn't have fees on donations because they acknowledge nonprofits. but I don't know how they handle currency conversion

As the year comes to a close I’m gonna be kind of looking through all the data on fees to figure out if I can just minimize as much as that as possible. It’s really a shame that the easiest way for people to donate often is pretty expensive.

I’m looking at Patreon as a way of supporting the podcast because it allows for things like early releases as a boon for people who donate. But it has a huge fee so I’ve been discouraging it as our fundraising platform. There are others I’m looking at. My bookkeeper and I have a meeting plan soon

I’ve been putting a lot of energy into supporting my mother and father while my dad is in heart surgery and heart failure and so I feel deeply a connection between my family and any family that has gone through this process
