Love this & let's have diversity. But also let's remember that in the proper landscapes you can have the benefits of beech-family trees (important temperate keystone trees for forests and grasslands) the carbon collections AND bring stable food production into large cities, by choosing chestnuts)

- requires paying attention to heavy metal absorption, not for brownfields or old gas stations. as far as we know the nuts are not significant accumulators, since they are good at moving that into their wood, & so: continued research comparing metals in soil, wood, & nuts
