And finally, I'll often bust out the rumor table if my party meets any rival NPC crawlers in the wild. Or give out 1d4 bonus rumors after an adventure if the treasure haul involved finding a large library or ancient tomes. 4/6

When we started I hadn't really played with a lot of the players that joined, but I had a few I could lean on to get the first adventures rolling. Some still prefer to hold back and let others pick, but there's enough going on now that players sometimes plan weeks in advance to book a time. 5/6
As far as mechanically, we use Discord. I have an "in character" section with a "Posting Board" channel, as well as threads for a number of the taverns and shops in town. Players can post in any of those looking for a crew.

I find that GMs who play are all in on marshaling the group and getting them on board for a game. However, many PCs (40-60 players) seemed hesitant.
