Agreed, but I’d rather have him as old man Cap, director of S.H.I.E.L.D. or something similar rather than just Capitan America. That should really be Sam’s job now, and I think he should have more appearances.

Still standing by my thought that Rogers staying back in the past was not only creating a divergent time, but was uncharacteristic for him.
Cap understood people still needed him in the present, but gives it up for his own desired life...nah.

Is it really that crazy that a guy who saw half the planet eradicated, was frozen for decades, and lost the love of his life turned a bit selfish and indulged in what he felt he deserved? I haven't read comics but has any comic cap indured as much as MCU cap did?

I completely agree with you. I think he would absolutely come back if he was needed for one last hoorah. But him finally resting is not a selfish or uncharacteristic move for him. People clamoring for him to come back should see what never letting characters conclude has done to some of the comics

He's got super morals for a reason, and a part of his character is literal service and sacrifice. So no, he wouldn't consider his needs to a potentially dangerous level (if he were simply human) if the world still needed help.

The title was always something that could be passed on, however.

But he did all the service and sacrifice and exhibited all his super morals. It's in his character to pass up the chance to live his life just in case there world that's been just restored gets another threat in the future?
