This was a top tier show. I had no prior relationship to the LoL world and it did not affect my viewing experience in the least. The animation/visuals were stunning but the writing carried the show. It was better than 90% of the stuff I watched in 2024.

This is the take. Nearly every single frame was a stunning work of art in itself.

The story/characters/aesthetic - the imminently relevant, multi-level allegory, from tip to tail the show was essentially flawless.

Name anything *better* on TV right now and I’ll watch it.

Each character is basically built to be a fighter. Can’t get enough. MO has done a great job with licensed characters, but I have to admit the art style is more SFVI - again, either would be awesome.

Or better yet, Riot could just make their own. It’s a genre they haven’t tapped yet anyway, right?

If Riots wants to expand on the LOL universe, there's no good chance of seeing people like Ekko again. His preoccupation is embedded in the Piltover/Zaun conflict. Same with Sevika. Maybe Vi & Caitlyn could have more leeway (esp if they're looking for Jinx), but their core is still in this world.

Jayce & Viktor may be in another timeline/universe, but I don't see the purpose of following them yet. The obvious choice is Mel: will she be integrated in Noxus' dynamic well, if she's now entangled with the Black Rose? She was done dirty in s2, so I hope she'll get a fascinating storyline

Another interesting choice would be Jinx, but she's already a main character from Arcane. So maybe not having her as a main, but as a secondary character in someone's story. And I may be biased, but I'm looking at Demacia and Lux bc DAMN, the parallels just WRITE THEMSELVES. It's just too good 😍

I, and I think most people care about VI, Jinx and Echo. Riot cares obviously about their games and league of legends which I have no interest in. I mean Mel? etc. Nothing against her I “ wish” her well. Watching her would just put it into relief who’s missing
