There were definitely issues with the movie. The animation was inconsistent throughout the movie. Sometimes it was choppy, and other times it was fantastic. I personally think it was a good movie, but not a great movie. Worth a watch for sure

I've heard good things about this movie. Might not be an Instant classic like the original Trilogy of films but good stuff.

Shame Warner Bros. Seems to try to ruin everything they touch nowadays. Glad this still was well recieved despite the struggle. Hope to see it myself someday.

People just don't understand what the numbers represent. If 100 out of 100 critics give a movie a 6/10, then it would have a 100% Fresh.

RT critic score doesn't measure a movie's quality, it measures a movie's mass appeal.

The RT User score measures whether a popular youtuber disliked it.

Also I know I’ve read reviews for movies on RT that were like “there’s one character I despise but otherwise the film’s a masterpiece” that were marked as bad reviews and reviews saying a movie’s “totally amazing and not a waste of time (as if wink wink)” is labeled as good

I don’t want to hate on it, I just can’t help but see the similarities between this animation and those direct to disc superhero movies- I mean, those movies are fine, but I thought they were made on the cheap..?

Exactly. People don’t know what they want. Stick to established characters, and it’s “We’re tired of these same characters—do something fresh!” Introduce new ones, and it’s “Who are these nobodies? Give us the characters we know and love!” You can’t win.

That’s a fair point. I think from a financial perspective it’s pretty well established that known characters deliver bigger dollars. That’s why so many sequels get greenlit. Familiar IP but different characters, that’s good but not as good from a financial predictability perspective.
