Kamiya is a kind of creatively unhinged that japanese games used to hugely benefit from, but they've kinda had to adhere to the tonal monotony and predictable categories that western audiences expect

I hope more than Hideo Kojima and the Like a Dragon games can bring this energy back

So Dante and Trish have both made guest appearances in Viewtiful Joe (the ps2 version.) Dante and Joe even have special interactions on mvc3. Amaterasu is a Sun goddess in Japanese mythology and The Bayonetta games(from the bracelets/weapons) do dive into other deities like said goddess
