I actually like Eternals, and it’s a hill I’ll die on, the only rankings I’ll let slide is Secret Invasion & Quantumania (tho I think Quantumania is just okay)
I think the Eternals is too low the other 2 I get they are 50/50 at best but I think Love and Thunder was worst post Endgame MCU. But tbf I think some pre end game movies were propped up by the brand (Thor 2).
I never understood people who solely watch things based on how critics or any other sac of flesh feel about it. If you like it, you like it. Who cares what other people say?
Eternals was a mess. Secret Invasion needed more episodes for what it was trying to do (and being fair: all the MCU/Disney+ shows did/do) and Antman 3 isn't as bad as everyone says it is.
Also love how all the plot hook stuff in Eternals has been ignored for nearly five years now, lmao.
And Eternals is one of the best Marvel - hell of the best super hero films really - by a longshot. Which shows how much credit anyone with two bit of sense should give to RT score.
I personally think Phase 1-3 gets more praise than it should, especially the first 2. Really only a few handful I’d give 4 stars or above. So I don’t see Phase 4 or 5, including the TV shows, being that different.
Oh I agree there's also this constant narrative going about how it was so great because they "had it all planned" while any rewatch wlll make it very obvious that they were just winding it and new films kept ignoring plot plot, character development or relationships set up before.
I also feel a lot of people do t grasp that Phase 4 was basically a new Phase 1 and was never gonna keep the momentum of IW/EG... And that's fine by me really?
So yeah I would agree things are not so different quality wise
I know some people were praying PRAYING for this to be bad, think of the youtube revenue of nerdrotic or Ryan kinel after this, they will have a bumper month
Can u guys wait until the movie is actually out before u do this stuff, ik it's not a "spoiler" but I do want to be able to see it blind and form my own opinion
I like the other 3, so I'm excited for Cap 4. Think about it....only 4 out of like 40+ projects in a franchise are considered Rotten by "critics"? The MCU is still going strong.
I think Antman was the worst Marvel film so far. Never watched Secret Invasions and don’t know if I will. I thought Eternals wasn’t that bad except for the explanation of not getting involved in fighting Thanos and I’m gonna watch the new Captain America tonight expecting it to be bland but not bad
they’re gonna say the MCU is dead when just a year ago they released a billion dollar film and a peak television show.. anyways i think Thunderbolts and FF will be peak MCU content

I would honestly love if Doom just passes through the Secret Invasion universe and definitively places it out of MCU canon.
Also love how all the plot hook stuff in Eternals has been ignored for nearly five years now, lmao.
Like how many pages down am I gonna have to go to stop seeing slurs and people whining about wokeness
But then really I've been essentially fine with the movie slate minus Ant Man 3, the TV side is where it's been more of a mess IMO.
So yeah I would agree things are not so different quality wise
Feels like the MCU is just treading water now to a certain point.
2) Thor Dark World, Ant-Man 2, and Iron Man 2 were just as bad as these.
3) Having your worst projects still be 50% on RT is pretty impressive tbh
