Its full circle the original version of Doomguy (I know he is just Doomslayer now don't kill me) was in the original version of the game of THPS 3 way back when.

Then I doubt we will see Darth Maul or Wolverine.....m....maybe...? >.>

Slight correction, Doomguy/Doomslayer was exclusively in the PC version of THPS3 ( something I only learned about a few years ago... ). I've completed the PS2 version multiple times and I know every unlockable skater.

Also since we never got Spidey in 1+2, sadly Wolverine & Maul aren't likely 😓
