trailers are fine, but close to half an hour of them is objectively bad for business. it makes a 2 hour movie become 2 and a half hours and time is money. it teaches consumers bad habits on when to show up. a succinct 10-15 minutes would be much better

My advice to Paramount would be don't have film distribution contracts where you increase your %age cut of the ticket price if films are more successful
You're taking away income from the cinemas, so they need the advertising revenue to compensate

Ads and snacks are how theaters make money, the revenue split for the actual film heavily favors the studio and trailers are also usually dictated by the studio.

Amend "Limit Trailers" to add "and start the movie no more than 10 minutes after advertised showtime." We timed one between ads & trailers to 35+ minutes. Walked out as it kept going & asked for my money back.

PS - I did not come to the movies to watch TV ads as that is TV.

I really don't think reducing ads or trailers will help cinemas. It will reduce their income & cut some useful marketing.

Feels more like a deflection of the actual problems by a studio that doesn't want to face them, putting the blame on cinemas not themselves.

Our old local chain had no ads, 3, maybe 4 trailers, & a strict no phone policy. They also had really nice seats and clean theaters. Sadly they sold out to Regal. Only good things about that were Coke vs Pepsi (to me at least) & showing Pixar movies in the 21 & over showings. I miss the old chain.
