20th century is said to also be releasing the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Sequel in 2027 as well. Highly doubt it will be May this time though.

They're almost a month apart lmao. Infinity War had next to no part in Solo failing considering they were released over a month apart. Solo failed due to bad marketing and mixed response to Last Jedi.

Even years later I still meet SW fans who were totally unaware Solo existed back then. It'd have been a hit if they'd stick to the Xmas schedule. Disney are idiots to want to push SW to May like the Old days

Christmas had nothing to do with it. As I said, completely bad marketing. I agree a christmas release would've helped the film get some distance from TLJ but its release date wasn't that much of a problem. Plus Deadpool 2 was out the week preceding it so that contributed more than Infinity War did

Yup. If Solo had been released at Xmas it would have done well. I literally had relatives and acquaitances that yeasr asking me why there wasn't a SW, totally unaware Solo released in May.

The didn't put Solo at Xmas because they had Mary Poppins Return in November and though it'd be a hit that would carry through Xmas. It ended doing worse than Solo

I remembered Solo doing like $600 million but I went to double check and it did $400 million and I was like damn that’s absolutely awful for a Star Wars movie. Never mind the budget being $300 million which just makes it worse.
