It was pretty clear that as soon as a big company pushed this successfully, the others would follow suit. Other major publishers saw how people complained about Nintendo doing it...and still bought it. It's a shame. They're killing access to this medium of art for so many people.

I was very interested in this as a fan of the first game and I personally don’t believe games are worth 80$ as 70$ is already pushing it. Before anyone says “gamepass” I don’t like subscription services like as it further normalizes that model when I’d rather pay for it outright.
