"Good software takes (...) love to make" is in my experience one of the truest statements about software development.
It's the drive to make the next version better, it's the indurance to not take short cuts and it's the anger that wants you to improve the process.

Today we have so many great tools around us which make making software a lot easier and faster. But easier and faster does not necessarily equal to better. We have great software using 20-year-old tech for example.
Good software take time, sense, creativity and love to make.
