The fridge is fine. It's just if I flip the breaker that controls the smoke detector back on, it starts making noise again. For some odd reason it seems to control the fridge too, which doesn't really make sense.
It might be by design.
If you turn the circuit breaker to your smoke detector off, you no longer have a smoke detector.
One way to make people keep power to the smoke detector is to link it to the fridge.
Quite clever, actually, if it's done on purpose.
