I'm in "uncharted waters" too. I've spoken to my primary care vet about that, she's given me some guidance there. I'm watching Emerald's food/water intake (so far so good but its early) I let Emerald into Maxine's "condo", that was hard to watch. Will be talking with the local aviary in the AM.
