Something so cold about a January departure for Kyogo, with no knowledge that his last game would be his last. It would have been nice to give him the send off he deserved.

Also feels like he is being allowed to leave by the manager because his stats are down this year. The same manager who is playing a system that goes through weeks and months barely creating chances for him.
A decline in the form he’s shown the last couple of years would probably always have happened but I do get the impression Brendan was never his biggest fan.
The reasoning being put forward is international ambitions but Rennes is not going to do anything to change that situation. Moriyasu is not going to be turning around to his staff this summer and saying "lads look at this double Kyogo got against Le Harve, he must play in the world cup now"
Great player for us but wants pastures new and wants it now. If his love affair with Celtic was really important he would have set up his departure and then got his send off. I’m impartial to waving goodbye. I will welcome the next hero tourist for the next few years. Primarily it’s a money game.
