I saw Peter, Paul & Mary on a reunion tour in Santa Cruz in the 1980's. His "Puff, the Magic Dragon" was still magically playful and their political anthems still inspiring. Last month, we saw Noel Paul Stookey guest with the Paul Winter Consort in Orono, Maine. Paul lives nearby and still has it!

Peter Yarrow, whose vocals for the trio Peter, Paul and Mary helped establish them as one of the most popular folk acts of the 1960s, died on Tuesday at 86. The folk trio became a pop phenomenon with hits like “If I Had a Hammer” and “Puff the Magic Dragon.” nyti.ms/3PqOFIp
