Back on schedule today with Day 23 & the final Day of my Special Mentions, which are:
(1) Firefly - not a single bad episode, but only 1 season
(2)House of Cards - should have died w/Frank Underwood
(3) 24 - Brilliant but SO ridiculous
(4) Supernatural - A perfect 5 seasons. So why make 15!?

Comments
The most obscure show & the only mini-series on the list. But any prestige western that stars Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Duval, Diane Lane at her best & a who’s who of the 80s?
AND lives up to that cast?
No 5: Lonesome Dove
It’s the last comedy on the list & by a country mile it’s the best. The single greatest spin-off of all time, the classiest sitcom ever made & just one 11 year long episode in the wider life of Dr Frasier Crane.
No 4…Frasier!!
Today we reach No 3 & it’s the 1st of a strong HBO showing, with the best single season of any show ever made
Featuring the best example of 2 blokes just being mates, plus doing history as it should be done, at No 3 we have Season 1 of Rome
It’s another HBO show. It’s another western. It’s another entry feat. Timothy Olyphant & Tim Omundson
AND it’s the show that gave us Al Swearengen, the single greatest TV show character ever
No 2 - Deadwood
At the risk of being predictable, my favourite series of all time happens to also be, for many, the greatest of all time
There are too many superlatives. Too much to say. So I’ll just say this:
It’s THE SOPRANOS
24 - excellent for the first couple of seasons, then...
I still remember my shock at (& appreciation of) the S1 reveal.
