I checked the First amendment and it doesn't allow govt interference with media. The link I sent was my country's independent media council. Not govt related. Not a watchdog with teeth but one with an ethical standard and influence. It's not a censorship tool. Much like the FD.
So your independent media council is not part of the government and has no government authority so if someone does something they don’t like they just say “pretty please” and hope it gets fixed?
