For all the "It doesn't matter" people, I can confirm that in response to the court order, all 10 of the DOGE people at SSA were completely removed from the system. Someone was just dying to wipe their profiles, and they did it immediately.

I've had my credit frozen for a few years. π
I had all 3 bureaus create and freeze reports for my kids when they were young because it was thought that kids are easy targets. Now one of the bureaus is refusing to let him (19 tomorrow) to access his report to unfreeze it. TranUnion sucks. CFPB needed
I don't think they'll destroy the data they steal. Maybe they'll hide it for a few weeks or months and then start dropping information out to the world to hurt people because that's all they do. It's funny those kids think they are invincible. They're not rich enough to be invincible.
That data has already been sent via Starlink straight to China, Russia, and probably the Saudis. If youβre willing to pay, theyβre giving it away. Fire sale!
Doubtful. They didn't really make friends at the agency, and there's a ton of firewall they'd need multiple people inside to help them get through unnoticed.
Me too, thank you, I had the same fear especially since I read what project 2025 is doing and knowing the history of eugenics (as I do genealogy research on my family and their family, letβs just say my family name was on the Dr. Pleckerβs list of names. And seeing what Elon have been allowing on X
They're explicitly barred from doing that. And you better believe that someone at SSA would report it right away if they tried. Like I said, DOGE only made enemies here.
Can we start holding these people personally financially responsible for all the costs to taxpayers?
Or at a minimum, responsible for the CFR violations that come with penalties. And not a token amount. The full amount for each violation
found a 'reminder'.
This show was a precursor to M*A*S*H, its humour in a similar style of slapstick, laughing at inefficient bureaucracy and stupid ideology.
As the show went on, Schultz was increasingly integrated into the shenanigans as a pseudo-ally. The turning point might have been the "Der Krieg ist zu Ende" hoax, during which we learned that Schultz was the owner of a major toy factory that had been commandeered for war production.
He had no ambitions whatsoever in military service, so bumbling about ineffectually in a backwater prison camp suited him just fine. All he wanted was to go back to his factory and start making toys again.
Omg, this completely cracked me up. I don't know what it's from but it's just so silly with that guy's look in his eye that I guffawed! Thanks for that.
Makes me nostalgic for grep, sed, and awk. I once corrected all the misspellings of the word βreceiveβ in a commercial purchasing applicationβs cobol source codeβ¦ahh good timesβ¦
I may have even edited a group or passwd file that way.
The SSA database is much MUCH too large for that. They've also been ordered to destroy any data that they did copy, but I don't know if that was traceable. It might be. There's also the fact that Musk can't help but run his mouth, so if they still have data, he'll probably brag about it.
DOGE has descended on the contracts for the Command I work for. One contract has been canceled and all our IT techs have to send top 5 to their prime contractor every week.
"In case you missed it, resistance fighters from agencies under attack by Elon and the Muskrats have established 'alt' or 'rogue' identities on BlueSky, sharing important and interesting information anonymously."
Marko Elez, Ethan Shaotran, Scott Coulter, Aram Mogahaddassi, Nikhil Rajpal, Gautier Cole Killian, Payton Rehling, Luke Farritor, Jon Koval, Antonio Gracias. Also, their boss, Akash Bobba, was removed as well.
Mr. Gracias (worth 2B) met Mr. Musk through David Sacks, a venture capitalist who is now himself a top Trump administration official. He was an early believer in Tesla, and personally lent Mr. Musk $1 million in the company's early days, according to testimony from Mr. Gracias in a recent court case
In this NYT article, Gracias says, "he had been alarmed by the size of its so-called trust funds, government accounts created to make sure Americans receive their full benefits."
Yeah, alarmed he doesn't have is greedy little hands on all that money just sitting there.
This is horrifically evil!! These billionaires are all despicable blood sucking ghouls figuring out how they can steal our taxpayer government funds. WE paid into social security you thieves. Let's make them literally pay for it. Tax them into oblivion. Private equity must not exist. Vultures.
I've got to say that I am very surprised. Then the dread sets in. Why would people with their m.o. give up so quickly and completely? With Russo & Dudek in charge, maybe they will just siphon off what they need from a remote location. Just my imagination running. Thank you for the names.
They were already in our system from remote locations, but removing their credentials closes that door.
As to why they did it so quickly, I think the legal exposure was too much for Dudek. Also, the people who control system access are SSA employees, and likely have no love for DOGE.
You need a system profile and credentials to access anything in our systems. Even turning on a computer requires a system profile along with a PIV card. They have neither now.
Tell me about it. I'm former fed and even after turning in my CAC/PIV, I still get promoted to insert my card when logging into federal systems as a civilian. I can't remove the option to use my no longer existing CAC.
Sorry, if you're asking whether they're still threatening to shut down the agency over the order, no, they backed off of that. That was a really dumb move on their part.
No, though Iβm glad to hear the government has backed off. What worries me is that the payment system might have gotten broken by the DOGE crew. Does anyone know if they uninstalled their software and returned everything to normal?
I wouldn't really expect payment issues to rear their heads for at least a few months. It'll take a while for the loss of personnel to cause things to pile up past the breaking point.
I havenβt seen any reports of that, anywhere. How did you find out? And if they are people you know, get them in contact with @socialsecurityworks.org
First I've heard of this. If it's something widespread and outside the norm, we'd always be notified internally. Do you have an article or something I can read on it?
I don't know if you can answer
this question but last month I saw
"one time deposit" as the status of
my normal SS direct deposit. I can always see
the upcoming deposits in "upcoming transactions"
and I don't recall seeing this as a one time deposit.
might that mean one and done??π€¦π½ββοΈπ
She's not putting up with their bullshit. They didn't do their arguments any favors by misrepresenting her order in public and using it as a way to threaten all beneficiaries.
I agree. Someone thatβs an attorney explained it. Said that bc of who they are the DOJ has always been given a bit more respect with judges. But as they continue to show they arenβt trustworthy, the judges will be less inclined to believe them and will give more pushback than normal.
I agree. Dudek's responding that they were going to "shut it down" over the order was such a stupid move. The guy is so far out of his league, it's not even funny.
I fear this is all an elaborate heist⦠to steal data⦠the rest is distraction for us:
1) Data is power, what they are STEALING is worth billions on the dark web and to foreign powers and gives you leverage on the US and itβs citizens
2) They want to train their super AI with itβ¦just imagineβ¦
Make sure they didnβt do what happened at Treasury BFS and one of them extracted and emailed over 3 GB of PIII to their PERSONAL emailβ¦. Ask me how I know π« π« π«
When anything is sent to/from an external email, we all know it's likely to be scanned and/or reviewed before it gets passed along. There's very strict rules on that, even if it's going to another agency.
We need to document as much as possible since they destroy evidence.
Need to backup in a strong data law locale to feed evidence for a future in which we can prosecute them. Thinking out loud. Hope someone has done this.
Excellent. We have little visibility into how much of this sort of resistance is happening at each Federal agency. If the court orders give ordinary people courage and permission to do what they wanted to anyway, that's a win.

Just my opinion
They have had way too much time.
Apparently ππ©π€‘ has no issue with removing our defenses from Chinese (and other) hackers.

Who is the they?
And thank you Security folks!
I am wondering if they actually did everything they planned to do, or they got new toadies installed

In the HH series, it's aimed at the Nazis.
In MASH, it was the US.

Coulter is listed on the org chart as the CIO
Yeah, alarmed he doesn't have is greedy little hands on all that money just sitting there.
He's Private Equity guy.
The billionaires club think they know better than everyone.
They have a little God complex
Usually seen from doctors (who save people and let that go to their heads).
Also, they think that they donβt have to consider women, migrants, disabled, elderly, LGBTQ+, minorities, etc.

Better to be prompted. If you were still a fed and youβd been promoted, then youβd be probationary for a year, and probably canned. Just sayin.
Iβm grateful I retired when I did.
