As this piece says, we don't put our FOIA reporting behind a paywall. We've done this since launch. We’re falling into the trap. Their strategy, which they even clearly announced, was to “flood the zone” with many attacks (feints) to divide and diffuse any defense. Stop being distracted and unite behind one goal of ousting Trump with boycotts, divestment, strikes and biggest March on Capitol.

This reporting strengthens our defense & offense. Trans people have high rates of political engagement. We can't participate in strikes, boycotts, etc, if Trump succeeds at eradicating us from public life.

I understand that logic and it is true. But a standard art-of-war tactic is feints on many fronts to diffuse an the defense, a tactic they even were open about using because they knew we’d fall for it and we did - all over the place.

So trans and all attacked must unite in one goal - to oust them.

But we also need this reporting. It helps people like me to stay in the fight. It helps us communicate to the people who care about us, why they should come to a protest instead of binging tv. As things escalate, it helps us stay safe.

Reporting is not a zero-sum game. This is part of being united.

Agreed that direct action is necessary, but it can't be done in the dark. We need the reporting so we can see how our government is currently functioning and being dismantled.

Agreed that we need to oust Trump, and agreed we need more coverage on the ongoing direct action in the fight against him.
